As part of the ‘Cyber Swachhta Kendra’ (Botnet Cleaning and Malware Analysis Centre), the Indian government is providing free tools for detecting and removing botnets. This initiative falls under the Digital India campaign, led by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), with the objective of establishing a secure cyberspace. The primary goal of the project is to identify botnet infections in India and assist individuals in cleaning and securing their compromised systems.
Operating under the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the Cyber Swachhta Kendra collaborates with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and antivirus companies, as stated on its official website.
